In 2013 Sneaker Freaker joined forces with New Balance to unleash the Tassie Devil New Balance 998. Now for 2016, the Australian sneaker publication is against reaming with New Balance for another Tasmanian inspired sneaker drop. This time the Sneaker Freaker is taking its cues from the extinct Tassie Tiger

Utilizing the hybrid 997.5 the recently introduced hybird – here is what Sneaker Freaker had to say about the kicks. The tough sneaker beast is carved from a unique shade of ‘terracotta’ suede, which has been boldly embellished with salt and pepper speckle, apricot pops, 3M charcoal stripes and the blackest suede in the animal kingdom. Triangular forefoot fangs add carnivorous bite, while padded tongues are an elegant enhancement to the standard 997.5 model. Stepping up our packaging game, the global release arrives in a two-piece black box with a heavy-duty UV gloss.

Set to launch on July 16th via the Sneakerfreaker shop, with a wider Asia and south Africa release to follow on the 23rd.
