adidas x Raf Simons Matrix Spirit

The adidas x Raf Simons collection has been a clash of adidas’ sporty athletic roots and Raf Simons’ high end forward thinking designs. It is perhaps this stark contrast that makes the collaborative effort
between the two brands so successful and this relationship continues into Autumn/Winter 2016.

Renowned for his interpretation on the iconic Stan Smith and the unique Ozweego silhouette, Raf Simons and adidas have came up with a new silhouette for this season called the Matrix Spirit. A relatively straightforward upper has been constructed from a premium canvas that is made more
durable thanks to rubber detail at the toe and a thick rubber sole. Further contrast is achieved through a nylon tongue but a level of integration is achieved due to a Tomato Red color way that finds itself on each panel of the shoe. As always, Raf Simons’ branding can be seen at the side panel and the heel, with adidas’ iconic trefoil branding found on the side of the other shoe.
